Sorry about the short post for day one after being up for 30 hours I kept deleting what I wrote. When we left Baker to meet geofriends Mike and Karen inVegas. They had lunch I had Mike’s pancakes. Thanks for sharing :). The waitress took our order and the cook forgot to make mine. Once it did get made the strawberries on top were frozen. At least it didn’t cost anything. It was nice to catch up and share stories. We talked about the “Down and Dirty in the Dale Mining geoevent” The sand and wind kept them away this year, maybe next year.
We left Vegas at 3pm with every good intention of hitting Leeds. Exhaustion set in around Mesquite NV, an hour away from Leeds. Setting up at “Sun Resorts” was fun considering we forgot the chucks and surge protector, not bad. Slept the whole night with air on warm but was nice.

My Sweet Valetine
Valetine weekend 2016 was the first meet up with other A-Framers at Deadhorse State Park. Roy was sick but still was able to go on the Chocolate Train. It was SWEET. On this train trip I was able to get some pictures of an eagle nest. It also taught me a valuable lesson do not delete any pictures until you see them on a larger screen. I also was able to pick the brain of photogragher Lisa Langell she does wildlife expeditions in Alaska. I was able to acquire some super secret animal viewing / picture spots. So the 1000s of pictures you have to see when I return are her fault. I need to blame someone! The trailer ran good no needed honey dos for this trip.
I was also able to do a horse back ride, Roy and I joined a group of others at a western style BBQ that was a blast. I will add more pictures when I am near my computer.

Geocaching and Camping 01/16
It is always nice to combine two hobbies camping and geocaching (using million dollar satellites to find Tupperware). It’s an adult treasure hunt. We hung with fellow geocachers who also made the trek over from Coachella Valley.
This was our third year attending S*W*A*G’s Yuma Mega #13 GC5PG4A
and the first with the camper.
This was the second trip out and we found out it is good to be small, the wind was fierce this weekend. We were in a space surrounded by larger RVs that blocked the wind.
On this trip because of the wind we found some spaces that needed better insulation added to the honey do list. We invited a few friends over to show them the trailer and see how many people could fit in. I was surprised how easy it was not like stuffing a phone booth.
In the picture Dan (Wheeler Dealers) Kevin (Boxerboy211) Rex (shipwreck 77) Kandy (WD) Randy (Bugzapper 54) in front Roy (nevadanick). I took the picture standing right outside the door.
Our First Trip!!
If you ever get a chance to stay at Morro Bay SP in California jump at it. Where can you stay in the woods and only be a few steps from the beach. On this trip I saw zebras, cows, bald eagles, and elephant (seals)!
The trip was designed to shake out the camper instead look what I shook out!

I hadn’t been camping since I was a kid, I do believe this is going to be fun. Roy and I spent three days here enjoying the seagulls, whale watching and eating good sea food. We had the chance to make sure the trailer was water proof it rained the first night. I was also able to beat Roy in cribbage at least once.
A few things we decided were needed after this trip. A single serve coffee maker, not to over pack on the food, get a heater. We are both looking forward to many more adventures.
